If you are a Manual Tester or a Java Developer beginner, you should probably have had the same question asked at the title of this article. And just like with any other philosophical question one should ask wise gurus for the answer. That’s why we invited that kind of speakers to BIONIC School QA Automation Meetup. And the number of people willing to find out the answer and a path to success turned out to be that large, that hospitable iHUB Kyiv hardly placed everyone.
Everything started with a parachute. The one that the first speaker jumped with. Yes, it was a photo, but Oleksii Ostapov, Senior QA manager at Infopulse, swore he was smiling on the photo. With the same friendly smile he told about mistakes of a beginner Automation Engineer and how to avoid them.
Then we continued with practice. Experienced Test Manager Anastasiya Demenkova told about the difference in approaches to automatic and manual testing. She also shared her own case studies and revealed the secret of how to convince employers of the need for automated testing. By the way, after the event, Anastasiya was flooded with questions!
Mykhailo Chub, Senior Test Manager of Infopulse, was revealing so many professional insights that event participants lacked time to note all the useful information. All this was mixed with sparkling humor and relevant data on the US market and the real requirements of employers to job seekers. Besides, Mykhailo recommended meetup participants to use those testing tools that are actually used at the leading companies of the US and Ukraine. At the end of the presentation Mykhailo got a hand!
BIONIC School QA Automation Meetup turned out to be funny and energetic. As for the question - To Automate Or Not To Automate – everyone found their own answer. And if the answer is positive – we at BIONIC School will be happy to help you.
