BIONIC University students successfully present their projects to the Dutch customers

The united team of the first Ukrainian open intercorporate IT-university BIONIC University and Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences presented their work to the customers in Rotterdam. The joint international project of two educational institutions started in November 2014 and lasted till March 2015. The team developed three products: a web application for users of solar panels for promotion of green energy (customer - Rooftop Energy Company), a web application for financial management in logistics in the Netherlands (customer - Comes Solutions Company), and an iOS-application for informational site with communication features (customer - co-founders of the web-site http://www.24baby.nl/).

"The atmosphere, the desire to collaborate and learn from each other have shown that even at a great distance we can create wonderful things ... I was impressed with what the students have already accomplished" - says the General Manager of Comes Solution Company  Harald Koning.

The projects were carried out with the help of widely known project management methodology - Scrum. Scrum-support was provided by consultants of Ciklum Consulting - Alexander Zhebryakov, Mykhail Popchuk and Tymofiy Yevhrashyn. They held a two-day training and described the basic principles of the development methodology, as well as accompanied the team at all stages of development.

"The second international project of BIONIC University allowed participants to gain practical experience with foreign customers. The level of training of BIONIC University graduates complies with the demands of European entrepreneurs, and successful participation in international projects opens up job opportunities in leading IT-companies of Ukraine ", - said Iryna Zaytseva, project manager of BIONIC University.

The first joint project of BIONIC University and Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences started in November 2013. For six months Ukrainian and Dutch students worked together on solution for the problem of abandoned buildings in Rotterdam. In early April their developments were presented to the authorities of this European city, where they were positively accepted by local officials.
