BACKGROUND NEEDED

This program is a logical continuation of Unity 2D, therefore, candidates who want to start training with Unity 3D, should have knowledge and skills regarding the topics covered in Unity 2D program.

The certificate of completion of any BIONIC SchoolBIONIC University and BIONIC University Pro program guarantees 10% discount for this program.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED

Actively using the knowledge acquired during studying Unity 2D, the students will greatly expand their own arsenal of tools for games developing and will learn to confidently use the 3D engine Unity Framework. Graduates of the program will be able to write simple 3D-games in the short terms, with understanding of the features of shading, lighting, navigation settings, etc.

PROGRAM  MAJOR TOPICS

Camera in 3D. Projections: isometry and ortho. Standard projections for different games. Using few cameras. Camera tricks. Culling.

Loading models. Animation rigs and separated movement. Character/camera controls and animations.

Advanced controls. Tracking mouse. Controller input. Mobile input. Handling several input mechanics.

Scripting. Events system. Coroutines. RNG. Multiplayer.

Lighting and shaders. Lighting using surface shaders. Vertex and fragment shaders. Depth textures. Dynamic vs static lighting.

Particle systems. Simulating fire and smoke using particle systems.

Antialiasing. Bloom. Depth of Field. Other VFX. Programmatic graphics control.

Scenes and transitions. Scene persistence. Developing level structure.

Navigation and pathfinding. Terrain generation. Perlin noise. Baking navmeshes. Off-mesh links. AI and enemies behaviour.

PRACTICAL PART OF THE PROGRAM

Alongside the study, students will create a 3D game using acquired knowledge and tools of the Unity Framework. Yes, Bionic definitely helped me achieve what I wanted, namely to become a programmer. It's quite difficult to reach the level that corresponds to the modern requirements of employers on our own, and BIONIC helped me learn a programming language, technologies, and most importantly try everything on practical projects. Your university has influenced my life more than 5 years in good Ukrainian university. Thank you!

I think that Bionic is the strongest IT training center now, with a lot of relevant topics, trainers are all practitioners, enough practical tasks, a lot of like-minded and interesting peers. I would highly recommend to all undergraduates and juniors/middles, or people who want to expand their knowledge
