Competition for BU Tech Skills ranged from 6 to 17 applicants per place

Admission of students for BIONIC University Tech Skills programs is over. It was the first admission since the official launch of the University. Over 1600 people registered of qualification, of which 1100 passed the testing. For the final interviews about 450 candidates were invited. As a result, 210 people became students of the Tech programs.
The most popular specialty became С++ Core. Competition for it was 17 people per place. Great interest among the candidates was evoked by QA Standard and Java SE (13 and 10 people per place correspondingly). Minimum competition was 6 people per place.
“I am pleased to see that we are approached by well educated, motivated candidates. A lot of students have very good technical skills. Additionally, they know what they want to achieve, and they are ready to make efforts for success. And we are ready in every way to help them. Nevertheless, it was very difficult for us to choose the one from six, ten or even seventeen candidates” – said First Vice President of BIONIC Hill Victor Galasyuk.
It should be reminded that the official opening of the first Ukrainian intercorporate IT-university BIONIC University took place on the 27th of September 2013. Before that BU had been working in a test mode for about a year. During this period curriculums had been created, selection rules had been elaborated, the training team had been formed, corporate and educational partners had been involved. Now university is ready to educate more than a thousand specialists per year.
