BIONIC University Graduation Day: graduates received their certificates
The Graduation ceremony was held on September the 7th at BIONIC University: Tech Skills and Soft Skills students, who have passed all stages of selection and training, received their certificates. Graduates and guests gathered in decorated festive hall and were chatting, while the organizers were finishing with preparations.
"Today we congratulate the second roll of Tech Skills graduates and the first roll of Soft Skills graduates of BIONIC University. It is always difficult to study in summer, but today's graduates have successfully coped with the task and have reached their goals!" – said Iryna Zaitseva, project manager of BIONIC University.
Graduation ceremony was attended by honorable guests including Victor Krivenko, director of "Technopolis" National Project, who greeted BIONIC University graduates. Before handing the certificates he spoke to the graduates: "It was your conscious choice to begin studying here, not for the sake of state diploma, but for the sake of yourselves and your own destiny. Currently about 300-500 thousand of highly qualified specialists from Ukraine work abroad. You are a special "risk group". It is important for us to create the infrastructure so the highly qualified professionals like you could stay in Ukraine. You are young, tomorrow is with you, and we will help you."
After the speech, the graduates received certificates in QA Standard, QA Selenium, .NETCore, C + + Development and WEB. Groups’ coaches gave the final instructions to their now ex-students. Many of them had already had job offers after the graduation.
To add some fun to the event the organizers prepared several games and competition for the participants. It wasn't easy: do you know how to feed the partner with a candy with the eyes closed?
Or how to collect the most of candies from the floor for 30 seconds while your friends are crying out: “He lives in the dorm! Of course he will gather more!” The winner of the competition was very pleased.
After a short break graduates of Java SE, Java EE, Soft Skills, English Intensive, and Agile courses received their certificates. Alexander Roth, Senior Development Manager of EngagePoint, congratulated Java students. He said that the company had already invited several BIONIC University graduates to work as junior developers, and that the company was satisfied with their training level.
Soft Skills Graduates were the loudest ones. Applause, smiles, happy faces – they have learned communication skills not in vain!
Finally, all participants were engaged in the co-creation process: four teams were creating projects of the University in 2015, when it would be located in BIONIC Hill Innovation Park. To express their wishes concerning future look of the University and the training courses, participants were asked to... draw! And they gladly did it.
